Food Production Operative / Factory Operative – Full Time

Location: Castle Donington, Derby
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm (No weekends)
Pay Rate: £12.21 – £13.00 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Food Production Operative / Factory Operative to join our growing dessert manufacturing team in Castle Donington. This is a hands-on role in a modern food manufacturing facility, where attention to detail, teamwork, and high standards of food safety and hygiene are essential.

You’ll be part of a supportive production team producing premium desserts supplied across the UK. This role offers stable, consistent hours and the chance to develop your skills in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Weighing, measuring, and preparing ingredients accurately according to production recipes

• Mixing and blending ingredients to achieve the required consistency and quality

• Operating, setting up, and cleaning production equipment safely and efficiently

• Maintaining strict food hygiene and safety standards throughout the production process

• Working efficiently to meet daily production and output targets

• Reporting equipment faults, safety concerns, or quality issues promptly

• Keeping production and work areas clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene standards

About You

• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

• Able to follow instructions accurately and maintain attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced food production / factory environment

• Physically fit and capable of manual handling

• Previous experience in food manufacturing, bakery production, or catering is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided

Our production facility is based in Castle Donington, Derby, easily accessible from Derby, Nottingham, Loughborough, and surrounding areas. On-site parking is available
