Job Title: Class 2 Drayman Driver

Location: Bedford
Salary: £39,700 per annum + Bonuses
Hours: Monday to Friday, 4:00–5:00 AM starts
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Physical Role – Heavy Lifting Required

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Drayman Driver for a leading drinks logistics company based in Bedford. This is a physically demanding role, delivering kegs, casks, and packaged goods to pubs, bars, and restaurants across the region.

You will be working alongside a driver's mate and must be comfortable with heavy lifting on a daily basis. This role offers the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering kegs and cases to licensed premises

• Working as part of a 2-person crew

• Manual handling of heavy goods

• Ensuring timely and safe deliveries

• Providing excellent customer service at delivery points

• Adhering to all road safety and company compliance standards

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence

• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

• Previous dray experience essential

• Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting

• Excellent punctuality and work ethic

• Ability to work early morning shifts (4–5 AM starts)
