Job Title: Laser Operator

Workchain is currently seeking a Laser Operator to join our client in Copt Oak, LE12 on a permanent basis.

Our client manufacturer high quality parts for POS displays and their related products.

This role is being recruited for on a permanent basis.

Immediate interviews and starts are available.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machine to produce metal components to

precise specifications

·        Read and interpret technical drawings, folding diagrams and work instructions

·        Select and install correct tooling, punches, and dies based on job requirements

·        Perform first off inspections and conduct in process quality checks using measuring

·        tools

·        Make machine adjustments and corrections to ensure product accuracy and

·        consistency

·        Report any machine issues, material shortages, or quality concerns to supervisors

Key Experience:

·        Competent with fabrication tools and machinery

·        Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

·        Proven experience setting and operating a CNC laser cutting machine

·        Experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment

·        Experience with press brake brands such as Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic or LVD

Hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 4.00pm to 2.00am.

The starting salary is £16.00 per hour including shift allowance, £33,280kpa with excellent company benefits.
