Workchain is currently seeking an experienced Group SHEQ Manager for our clients nationally recognised manufacturing operation, based in Ashbourne, with travel to another company site in Stourport on Severn.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer as a member of the Senior Management Team this position's primary responsibility is ensuring all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards are in place for the business and providing leadership to a small internal multi site team.

Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of Company strategies, policies and practices.

This role is a permanent position.


Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, key responsibilities:

·        Full responsibility for all aspects of QMS and compliance to customer, industry and regulatory requirements ISO9001 and ISO14001

·        Responsible for managing Health and Safety across the business, ensuring compliance standards at all company facilities

·        Responsible for devising and establishing the company’s quality procedures, standards, and specifications

·        Lead the development and implementation of short-, medium-and long-term objectives with respect to product assurance and quality.

·        Continually look to reduce waste and improve efficiency

·        Reviewing and introduce key quality performance measures to capture relevant data to produce statistical reports, present these results at board level as required

·        Making suggestions for change and improvements across the business functions

·        Full support of the group compliance and sustainability reporting and initiatives

·        Reviewing current supply chain and implementation / monitoring of supply chain audit

·        Following and adhering to company policy and procedures at all times

Qualifications, requirements and experience:

·        Previous experience and ownership ISO9001 / ISO14001 compliance

·        Knowledge and experience of quality tools and process improvement

·        Relevant Quality Management qualifications

·        Relevant Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH)

·        Change management experience.

·        Experience of coaching and employee development

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.00pm.

The starting salary is £60kpa depending on experience, with excellent company benefits including car allowance, company mobile and laptop.

Candidates must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
