Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver

Workchain is currently seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client in Basildon on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Road Freight Manager and the Logistics Manager, this is an exciting time to be joining our client with a busy working environment and business growth plans throughout 2025.

Immediate interviews and starts are available.

The role will be working on a Monday to Friday basis, 6.00am to Finish, an element of flexibility will be needed during busy periods.  

Key Responsibilities:

·        Collecting and delivering freight around the Essex / London areas

·        Group / multi drop routes including tail lifting

·        Ensuring all loads and deliveries are checked for any differences

·        Daily vehicle checks

·        Ensuring all delivery paper work is completed correctly and customer service levels are met

·        Daily collections and deliveries to a select E16 client

Key Experience and Qualifications:

HGV Class 2 Driving Licence, Digital Tacho, Driver CPC, 5 years full work history with no gaps due to referencing and CAA (aviation security checks).

The role will be working on a Monday to Friday basis, 6.00am to Finish, an element of flexibility will be needed during busy periods.  

The starting salary is £37.5kpa, with excellent company benefits.
