Job Title: HGV Class 2 Plant Delivery Driver

Workchain is currently seeking a HGV Class 2 Plant Delivery Driver for our client in Wandsworth on a permanent basis.

Our client is a large nationally recognised Plant Hire company and they are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for their regional operations.

This role involves delivering and collecting a variety of plant hire equipment and tools to and from regional sites across London and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery and collection of heavy plant equipment and tools onto construction sites across a region
Loading and unloading plant machinery
Securing loads using chains and straps for safe transportation in line with company health and safety practices
Conducting vehicle and equipment checks to maintain safety and compliance
Completing all delivery and collection paperwork accurately and efficiently

Skills and Qualifications:

Hold a current HGV Class 2 licence
Experience in transporting plant machinery and tools
Knowledge of correct loading, unloading, chaining and strapping techniques
Strong awareness of health and safety regulations
Excellent attention to detail particularly with delivery and collection paperwork

Candidates should have a significant experience in HGV Class 2 driving involving heavy plant equipment deliveries and collections.

Candidates must hold a valid HGV Class 2 Licence, Driver CPC card and a valid Digital Tachograph card.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 6.30am to 4.30pm.

The starting salary is £45kpa, with excellent company benefits.
