Workchain is currently seeking a Toolmaker join our client in Ashbourne on a permanent basis.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Toolmaker. Reporting to the Toolroom Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be working as part of a team supporting the manufacturing department with tooling solutions across.

This role is being recruited for on a permanent basis.

Immediate interviews and starts are available.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Fully trained and competent in using XYZ milling machines, Lathe, Spark Eroder and precision surface grinder

·        Competent in reading, understanding and converting various complex tool drawings into final production tooling

·        Required to use 2d Auto Cad for the design of various tools

·        Ability to build tools from start to finish including tooling development / tuning

·        Able to program and operate EDM wire Eroders

·        Provide support and training to tool room apprentice as required

Key Experience:

·        An engineering apprenticeship at level 3 or above would be desirable

·        Good knowledge of tool room machinery and its capabilities

·        Understanding of all Health and Safety systems and toolmaking practices

·        Previous experience within a plastic manufacturing environment would be advantageous

Hours of work Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm with overtime available during busy periods.

The starting salary is £32,400kpa, with excellent company benefits.
